Calvary Church Is Established
Founded as West Lafayette Baptist Chapel in a rented house just off the Purdue campus.
Breaking Ground on the First Building
Calvary broke ground on Soldier’s Home Road for its first church building, now the Montessori School.
First Church Building Completed
Calvary completed its first church building on Soldier’s Home Road.
10 Acres Purchased
Calvary purchased 10 acres on Kalberer Road for future growth.
Together We Build Campaign Begins
Calvary launched the Together We Build campaign.
Construction Begins
Construction of Calvary’s new building began in January.
First Service in the New Building
In August, Calvary held its first worship service in the new building.
18 Acres Purchased
Calvary purchased 18 additional acres for future ministry use. Today, the property is used as soccer fields.
Connection Café Opens
Calvary built a full-service café designed to create space for connection and small groups.
Connection Center Built
Calvary volunteers built the Connection Center to serve youth and small groups. Today, the space is Building 2/Club 45.
A New Season of Leadership and Identity
Calvary welcomed Daniel Berry as Lead Pastor, remodeled the lobby, and introduced the logo still used today.
eXpand Breaks Ground
Calvary broke ground on a new worship center, offices, side auditorium, and lobby as part of the eXpand initiative.
eXpand Construction and Completion of New Building
On July 10, Calvary celebrated its first Sunday in the newly completed space.
Record Sunday Attendance
On May 10, Calvary welcomed 1,246 people, its highest attendance for a regular Sunday of worship.

Every Life Changed by Jesus Becomes Part of a Greater Story
Hope rises where Jesus meets ordinary life. Families step into worship carrying uncertainty, then leave anchored in truth, direction, and renewed courage. Chapter 1 expands that reach, opening space for more people to encounter Christ and discover a future shaped by grace rather than fear.
Healing unfolds through prayer, Scripture, and steady community presence. People bring grief, addiction, fractured relationships, and quiet exhaustion. God restores what pressure and time have worn down, often through simple faithfulness expressed in care, teaching, and presence across every ministry environment.
Belonging takes root when people move from attendance into relationship. Names replace anonymity. Conversations replace distance. Children, students, and adults find a church family that knows them, walks with them, and calls them into purpose. Chapter 1 strengthens that connection by creating space where community can form without constraint.
Our Mission Field Keeps Growing
Services approach capacity. Cars circle the lot and sometimes leave when spaces run out. Chapter 1 gives families a clearer, more welcoming path from arrival to worship.
This growth raises a ministry question, not a real-estate question: can our campus keep making room for the people God keeps bringing?
