HIS STORY. OUR STORY. THE NEXT CHAPTER.

Every Life Changed by Jesus Becomes Part of a Greater Story

For decades, God has worked through Calvary’s worship, prayer, discipleship, missions, outreach, and everyday faithfulness. Chapter 1 prepares room for what comes next: more people encountering Jesus, more families finding community, and more children and students growing in faith. This campaign doesn’t chase a bigger building. It creates more room for ministry, connection, and the next generation.

A story of hope.

Hope rises where Jesus meets ordinary life. Families step into worship carrying uncertainty, then leave anchored in truth, direction, and renewed courage. Chapter 1 expands that reach, opening space for more people to encounter Christ and discover a future shaped by grace rather than fear.

A story of healing.

Healing unfolds through prayer, Scripture, and steady community presence. People bring grief, addiction, fractured relationships, and quiet exhaustion. God restores what pressure and time have worn down, often through simple faithfulness expressed in care, teaching, and presence across every ministry environment.

A story of belonging.

Belonging takes root when people move from attendance into relationship. Names replace anonymity. Conversations replace distance. Children, students, and adults find a church family that knows them, walks with them, and calls them into purpose. Chapter 1 strengthens that connection by creating space where community can form without constraint.

THE NEED

Our Mission Field Keeps Growing

Families keep moving closer. Purdue keeps growing. New neighborhoods, businesses, healthcare developments, and jobs continue reshaping Greater Lafayette. Calvary already feels that growth every weekend.

Services approach capacity. Cars circle the lot and sometimes leave when spaces run out. Chapter 1 gives families a clearer, more welcoming path from arrival to worship.

This growth raises a ministry question, not a real-estate question: can our campus keep making room for the people God keeps bringing?

Capacity Growth

Make Room Where Ministry Already Feels the Strain

More capacity gives ministry room to breathe: more time for conversation, more access for families, and more space for children, students, and adults to grow in faith.

Young Adults

Callie & Nathan Stoneking

Going to Calvary and also working in the schools, I see a lot of teachers and administratorscome to worship on Sunday, which has been really sweet to see believers not only at church, but also in our community and how they're serving.”

Adult

Janiah & Lindley Downing

“To see God’s work and be a part of his Story is powerful. For the world to see things like community, serving, giving, and people coming to know that Jesus loves them is what Christian should strive for daily. What God is doing at Calvary through missions, baptisms, small groups, and serving makes us excited about the future and the Story Campaign.”

Adult

Tyler & Alaina Frizzi

“Calvary has been a part of our family since we were expecting our first child, and God has used Calvary to grow our family’s faith in great ways. We are excited to be involved in a piece of God’s work that is bigger than us. The impact this will have on generations to come will truly be life changing.”

Adult

Eric & Kathy Ellet

“From our very first visit to Calvary, we felt like we belonged. The rapid growth happening around us presents a great opportunity to welcome many new people who can also consider Calvary their home. We are excited to support more individuals in their journey of growing closer to the Lord through this expansion.”

Adult

Chad Stiffney

“The biggest impact to me is the teaching on Sunday. This is where truth is spoken, but … truth is spoken in the context of a relationship. It comes out of a place of love and support.”

Adult

Ben Beck

“We are continuing to reach people and families, helping them raise their children in faith. Just as I have seen the impact of Calvary on my own children, I want to see that same impact continue for generations to come.”

Adult

Clay & Deanna Zwilling

“We are so thankful for Calvary creating the space for the Spirit to move in us and God to work in our lives. We hope to lead our children, friends and neighbors to Him through our experiences and sharing the good news.”
